Next Friday

This week it's a whole different look for cas Friday. Representing hard for NYC lest anyone forget where I'm from. Took it straight back to the home city plus added in some 80s pop elements. I'm wearing an F21 New York City burnout tee, twisted gold hoops, an F21 enamel and rhinestone cassette tape pendant and my high top stiletto sneakers. I felt quite funky and a little bit fresh.

Animal Magnetism

For the Love of ....

As you all know I love animal print. I'm always looking for ways to subtly add it into my wardrobe. Whether it be sexy like a bra showcased under a sheer blouse, unexpected like in a 50s inspired cocktail dress, or casual like a pair of leggings, it's fun to figure out new ways to work it in.

We are working hard to get Shop Inspector33 up and running and expect it to be ready for launch within two days. I apologize for the delay and can't wait to show you what we have in store. Here's another peek at what's coming. Hope you like it.

Shop Inspector33

We're getting closer! Shop Inspector33 launches this week. Here are some of the sexy curvy styles that were shot yesterday at the first Shop Inspector33 photo shoot.
I worked with beautiful models Astraea (left) , Queen B (center), and Summer Heaps (right). These ladies look amazing right! I also got to work with the uber talented photographer Preston Norris at Zone VII Photography.  They were all so much fun to work with and made a marathon shooting session fly by.  I'm glad I got the chance to work with them and hope to again. Thanks guys for helping make this happen.

Kim Kardashian Has One and So Can You

 Shop Inspector33 Preview!

Geometric Necklaces such as this one from the House of Harlow (designed by Nicole Ritchie, right) and seen here worn on Kim Kardashian (left) are everywhere. Inspired by strong geometric shapes and emboldened by metal accents or punches of color these necklaces are a great addition to a summer wardrobe and will be an amazing update to your fall wardrobe.

Workin' girl

My fast and furiously put together outfit for work on Tuesday. The outfit was thrown together with pieces from absolutely everywhere.

It's been like a fridge in the office the last few days so a light cardigan (Jones New York), and opaque tights (Forever21) were a must. A black mini (1/2 of a skirt suit) because who doesn't love a short skirt, a soft cotton baby pink tee for contrast and a faux pearl bib necklace  with lace and punched metal detail(Macys), sterling silver rolo ring and Steve Madden patent pumps (Nordstroms) for accessories.

She's givin' me all she's got captain

Freshly shaped and fluffed, my hair is almost at maximum capacity but I think I can still go bigger. As they say in the garden state, "The higher the hair, the closer to heaven." Love big hair!!

Casual Friday

Yesterday, as it is at a lot of offices, was casual Friday. I choose to forgo the jeans for a comfy, yet put together, black and white look. I wore a white longline tank from Forever 21, black leggings, and my go-to black, Jones New York, cardigan with 3/4 sleeves (wearable year round). I choose chunky, twisted gold hoops, a Forever21 gold "Legend" necklace and  my favorite sequined, zebra stripe, ballet flats with bow detail for my accessories. I love this outfit. It's fast to put together, simple and classic, but very current at the same time.

Tadashi Shoji

I've discovered a new blog, Curvy Girl Chic , that I am in love with. Allison Teng has such a young, modern take on curvy fashion. I love how she accessories, from her silver wedge sneakers in today's post, to her Top Shop patent platforms to her Rilakkuma phone case and Kate Spade candy clutch. She knows how to look absolutely amazing with just a few pieces.

Allison recently did a review of a Tadashi Shoji dress,  . She looks very sophisticated, pairing it with a cape, gold skinny belt and accent clutch. Go to  A Flaire Affair to see her entire review.

I have been a fan of Tadashi Shoji for some time. The designer is a master of draping and making curvy women look wonderful. I especialy love the dresses on the red carpet such as this one on Octavia Spencer at the Golden Globes 2012. Below are some of the designer's plus size creations currenly available for online purchase.

I love this dress. It is a new summer favorite. On the rack it looked almost ugly but something told me to give it a try, and once I got it on, I was in love. Usually all-over prints like this can be challenging to a curvy girl but this maxi dress is anything but. It's pretty, vibrant, and flattering. I did a bit of 70s styiling with chunky gold hoops, a glass cocktail ring, oversize shades with gradient lenses, and a gold chain with a jade pendant.

Neon Lights

I'm too excited! Neon is one of my favorite color palates. I've been awaiting their comeback since the early 90s. Now they're back, even in nail color. Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, and Katy Perry have been seen sporting this look. So far, I had not been successful  in making it work. All of the neon nail colors I purchased seemed sheer and no matter how many coats I put on, they didn't pop. As it turns out, TIP: You have to first put on a white coat of polish before the neon color. I tried it with orange and YAY! it works.

Farm Fresh

As I've done every Saturday this summer, I worked at the Wasatch Front Farmers Market (Gardner Village Location) today. I saw a lot of pretty ladies happy to be out in the sun, showing off their curves and personal style. Many were on trend, wearing bright colors while hot accessories like cross body bags and oversize shades were favorites. I was lucky enough that some of them allowed me to take their photos and show you their flair.
